University Movers is pleased to welcome John Norman as the newest member of their team. John moved to Santa Barbara five years ago, but originally hails from Peoria, Illinois, where he earned a degree in Political Science from the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Prior to working with University Movers John was the coordinator of Gift Recognition Systems at UCSB in the Donor Relations and Stewardship Department. His official title at University Movers is administrative manager, but John will be a jack-of-all-trades working on a variety of projects in multiple capacities. His responsibilities include everything from bookkeeping to customer service, to coordinating moves. In his spare time John loves to play sports including basketball, softball and golf.
University Movers was founded by UCSB graduate, Joey Maida in 2000. The BBB-accredited company has dedicated itself to better service—for its faithful clients and the community as a whole—by holding itself to a high professional standards, and morale. University Movers also benefits the community by providing pro-bono services for local nonprofit organizations such as the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation and the Unity Shoppe.
