Our History
University Movers was founded in 2001 by UCSB graduate Joey Maida, during his junior year at UCSB. From the very beginning the goal has always been to build a moving company that was community oriented and dependable, with high standards and excellent customer service. In 2004, University Movers received accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, and the company has continued to gain respect and accolades ever since. University Movers’ service has expanded exponentially and become a highly reputed brand throughout the Central Coast. They pride themselves on helping with local nonprofits and strengthening those causes through their involvement.

Our mission is to provide our customers with the “Best Value in Moving” through superior service, reasonable costs, and adhering to the highest standards in the moving industry. Our team of dedicated professionals will be well informed, professional, and involved in the Santa Barbara community by contributing to the work of socially focused non-profit organizations. University Movers will continue to evolve along with the moving industry as new technology becomes available making our business more environmentally friendly, more efficient, and and the best possible experience for our customers.
